The latest draft ‘What Matters’ are now available, as part of short presentations.

‘What Matters’ will be key to school-level curriculum development. They comprise headlines and rationales , which used together will inform the knowledge, skills and experiences to be provided for pupils. They provide the crucial link to the four purposes and are the basis on which progression has been built.

Short videos featuring members of the AoLE groups giving an insight into their ‘What Matters’ and ideas as to how they can be realised, have also been produced.

The presentations and videos, as well as a broad ‘Preparing for the new curriculum’ presentation, are all on this page of the Welsh Government website. They have been published to support a series of regional events for head-teachers, being delivered to give advance notice of the changes to come.
